Explore Timbavati
on foot.
Morning and afternoon walks are led by two experienced Wilderness Trails Guides. Explore the bush on foot, then return to camp for meals and rest.
The safari uses one fixed camp for all three nights. Expect simple tented accommodation in an unfenced setting, without electricity, mobile reception or Wi-Fi.

Close to nature.
Twin canvas dome tents have single stretcher beds, with linen and bath towels supplied. Pit toilets and canvas bush showers keep the facilities simple.
Meals are prepared in camp, with tea, coffee and juice included.

- On foot
- Guided morning and afternoon walks with two experienced Wilderness Trails Guides. Return to the same camp between outings.
- Under canvas
- Twin canvas dome tents with single stretcher beds. Linen and bath towels are included. Camp facilities are pit toilets and canvas bush showers.
- Meals
- Meals, tea, coffee and juice are included. Other drinks are not provided.
- What to bring
- A daypack, water bottles, a head torch with spare batteries, worn-in walking shoes, neutral-coloured clothing, a hat, sunscreen and insect repellent. We will share the full packing guidance before you travel.
- Getting there
- Meet and finish at Timbavati Headquarters, with camp transfers on days one and four. Travel from Cape Town is arranged separately and is not included.
- When to go
- The 2027 season runs from mid-April to mid-June, and in August and September. Ask us to confirm specific dates with the operator.
- Before you commit
- This is an active walking experience. We will confirm age, fitness, accessibility, luggage and medical suitability requirements with the operator for this specific safari.
